2014 Buick LaCrosse Premium Review

As America’s oldest car brand, Buick has had to reinvent itself several times. But in keeping with tradition, the new Buick LaCrosse is a most approachable and comfortable car. It brings with it new safety and technological attributes to make it a perfectly acceptable all-around sedan for the 21st century. In fact, it might be one of the best-selling sedans in the world considering its success in China. Our smoky gray metallic cruiser came with $7,000 worth of options to make the car smarter and safer. Our updated ebony interior offered Buick’s legendary living-room-style comfort. It’s a bit like traveling in a premium business class cabin. Thanks to the proprietary QuietTuning technology, the ride is as smooth as silk and you feel as cocooned as in a ball of cotton. There is nothing terribly sexy about the Buick LaCrosse, but it’s a wonderful partner. It’s roomy, it will let you take 13.3 cubic feet of cargo and it will drive you effortlessly to the grocery store, opera house or country estate. For more challenging road conditions, you may opt for an all-wheel-drive version, which will cause you to forfeit some miles per gallon from the announced 21-mpg EPA rating.

Warranty/Service: 4-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty; 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain limited warranty; 2-year/24,000-mile oil and filter change, tire rotation
