2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude FWD Review

If you want a cheap Jeep, well, here is one. Can you call a vehicle a Jeep if it does not have off-road capabilities with 4X4? Our true blue Jeep Cherokee Latitude came with front wheel drive only and boasts one of those new fuel-efficient MultiAir engines found in Fiats. As well, Chrysler fitted this Jeep with a 9-speed automatic transmission. But if you are looking for a value-oriented, city-ready ute, look no more. The front end design is certainly a departure with a squished look and the rest of the car is not looking to win design awards. Overall you’ll find good space distribution and comfortable seats; although the fabric felt cheap as so did other components. We were expecting something more sophisticated as in its Grand Cherokee sibling. Then again, you can get 4X4 capability with Jeep’s Select-Terrain and Active Drive Lock system but that would be another car in another price range.

Warranty/Service: 3-year/36,000-mile basic limited warranty; 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty
